Pottery In The Pub Workshop

Come down to your favourite Hackney local for an evening of pottery with your pals. In this fun, relaxed and inclusive workshop we’ll show you how to use the pinching technique to make small cups, bowls, trinket dishes, plant pots or whatever your heart (or the clay!) desires.
The session will be run by professional potters and good friends Flo (Florence Mytum Ceramics) and Suzy (We Are Clay). After the session Flo and Suzy will glaze and fire your piece(s) so you can keep and use them forever. They’ll be ready for collection from The Star by Hackney Downs around 4-6 weeks after the workshop.
Beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks will be available from the bar and can be enjoyed during the workshop.
Materials, glazing and the firing of your piece(s) are all included in the price. No experience necessary, suitable for all levels – beginners and seasoned pros alike!

Your email confirmation will act as your ticket for the workshop
We hope you understand that you cannot bring your own drinks or food to the venue
Clay comes out easily from your clothes so no need to bring anything special to wear. If you have an apron you can bring it along but it is not a requirement.
You may want to cut your nails before the workshop as it makes it easier but this is not a requirement
We are offering one ticket at a reduced cost of £15 for someone who would otherwise struggle to afford a full price ticket. This will be given on a first come first serve basis and will be confidential. Just email hello@clayaway.studio
Cancellation policy – if you need to cancel you will get a full refund up to 48 hours before the event. Cancellations after this time will not be subject to a refund.
Collect your finished pieces from The Star by Hackney Downs 4-6 weeks after the event.
