Literacy Pirates Charity Fundraiser ft. Andrew Mensah, Ali Woods & More!
‘Join us for a night of laughter – all for a great cause!
Hackney Comedy Club has teamed up with The Literacy Pirates to put on a night of hilarious standup comedy to help raise money for a worthy cause. We’re hosting a comedy gig fundraiser in support of the amazing charity Literacy Pirates. Their mission is to help children who are falling behind in school and facing challenges in their personal lives to build their literacy skills, confidence, and perseverance, giving them the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond.
The Cause
The Literacy Pirates help underprivileged kids fall in love with reading and writing—and spark their creativity along the way. Born as a small community project in East London, they’ve grown into joyful, pirate-ship-inspired spaces where young people find their voice and confidence.
